The first round of French elections are behind us and with sizable gaps into the weekly open shifting the attention to the Euro crosses. Keep in mind we are heading into the final week of April trade and we’ll want to stay nimble into the close of the month. From a technical standpoint, the levels remain clean on the setups we’ve been tracking with the DXY gaping into a key support threshold at the 99-handle- looking for a reaction here over the next few days.

See our 2Q Euro projections and more in the DailyFX Trading Forecasts.

Highlighting the economic docket this week is the European Central Bank (ECB) interest rate decision on Thursday backed by the release of U.S. 1Q GDP on Friday. Consensus estimates are calling for an annualized print of 1.1% after a 2.1% clip in the final quarter of 2016. In this webinar we review the latest DailyFX scalp reports and updated technical setups / key levels (in this order) on DXY, Silver, NZDUSD, EURNZD, EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, Gold, USDCAD, Nasdaq 100, Nikkei225.
