As volatility indexes - as a measure of 'fear' - continue to move higher, we find price action is starting to show visible strain. From the safe haven US dollar, the biggest jump in 10 months was followed by an extremely quiet trading session. This shift has occured just on the threshold of a revival for a dominant bull trend. Alternatively, the risk and stimulus-reflective S&P 500 quietly slipped below its 50-day moving average and broke some speculators' trendline support. Technicals only take us so far however. To establish a meaningful trend in a theme like risk trends, we need a fundamental charge - like market-wide panic and deleveraging. Will we see that before the week closes? We discuss that and the trading opportunities in today's video.
