In this webinar we looked at the recent news that has had an impact on the crypto-currency market, including talk of a Bitcoin fork and an Ethereum upgrade. We also discussed the news that Japan had authorized 11 crypto-currency exchanges giving the market yet another boost.
Discussions include –
- The Chinese ban on ICOs and CNY trading hit the crypto-currency market hard four weeks ago but since then most digital coins have made a strong comeback as Japanese Yen and Korean Won traders take up the slack left by the Chinese departure.
- Bitcoin is heading for another fork this month with Bitcoin Gold expected to be set next week. Will this fork produce a new token and, if so, will it hold its long-term value better than Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
- The Ethereum ‘Metropolis’ upgrade is expected by the end of the month but it is far from certain if a new coin will be produced. We also discussed the widening Bitcoin/Ethereum spread.
