DailyFX Weekly Webinar Schedule: Week of October 20, 2013

Research, Research Team

The end of the US government shutdown means the release of a backlog of US economic data. That means we are left with an unusual, Tuesday US NFPs release. This is a rare event that will help amplify the market-moving impact of this already hefty indicator as there is plenty of time to trade through the outcome rather than the market being forced to square for the weekend.

Furthermore, the delay and economic impact of the shutdown has significantly altered the forecast for the Fed’s eventual Taper. This will be a very market moving indicator.

Other events on the calendar include notable economic releases (BoC, Australia CPI, Euro-area PMI figures which are a proxy for GDP and UK GDP) as well as the regular Currency Basket event. This week we have re-added Currency Strategist Ilya Spivak’s “Mirror Trader-based Currency Baskets” with a focus on the Australian Dollar. Stock, futures and options traders who prefer to "invest" (long-term) rather than "trade" (short-term) will find the forex trading techniques in this webinar easily transferable to other investing activities.
