The China Manufacturing PMI for January dropped to 52.9 in January, one point below the prior month’s reading. This was below expectations which called for a more modest decline to 53.5. Even so, the PMI remains in the narrow range that it has been in over the last year between 51 and 55. The U.S. Dollar rallied slightly on the news.
