Trade the News Live Coverage

Thomas Long, Course Instructor

One question we always seem to get at DailyFX is how to trade the news releases.  We cover this subject in all of our courses and always try to address this subject on the DailyFX forums.  But there is nothing like looking over the shoulder of a trader to see how somebody else approaches these often volatile events.  This is why the analysts at DailyFX go live before many news releases and share their thoughts on the market's reaction as it plays out.  This has become one of the more popular additions to DailyFX since it's inception.  I mention this today because tomorrow (December 4th), at about 830AM Eastern, the US Department of Labor releases the most anticipate report of the month...the job situation in the US.  To find more, first click on the Economic Calendar link at the top of the page at DailyFX and then click on the Trade the News link.

You will be brought to this page where the live session can be seen.  At the bottom of the page I can see that John Kicklighter will be hosting tomorrow's release.  I can also see where there is a place to enter your email address and DailyFX will send you a reminder before the start of the live session.  When the session begins, all participants will have an opportunity to get John's thought's before and after the event.  You can also ask questions that John will address if time permits.  So if you were curious about how others treated a major news release, you can find out by tuning in, courtesy of DailyFX.
