UK Shadow Chancellor Osborne is defending his warnings of a GBP collapse, after he stated on the weekend that Brown's borrowing run's a risk on the sterling, and that the currency could have a proper "collapse." Prime Minister Brown hit back on the comment, stating that he regrets the partisan talk from the opposition. Subsequently, Osborne has defended his comments, saying he should tell the truth about the ballooning debt. The comments have had little direct impact on sterling however, which followed the broader trend set by AUD and EUR today.
