European Central Bank to Lend Upto EUR 5B to Hungary

ECB and Hungary have set up a pact on repo transaction, that allows the Hungarian central bank to borrow up to EUR 5B as support for the central bank's EUR liquidity provisions. Hungary is not part of the Euro-Zone. Today's announcement follows Hungary's agreement with the IMF, announced at the beginning of the week, that will allow the country cheaper financing than at current government bond rates.
