EU Finance Minister decided against a joint stimulus package to revive economic growth in the Euro-Zone. Eurogroup head Juncker, said after yesterday's meeting of Euro-Zone Finance Ministers that ministers do not believe "that in the euro area we need a general revival package, a sort of traditional program designed to stimulate the economy". Juncker also said today that the risk of a credit crunch is "considerably reduced", even though he admitted that recession lurks around the corner. At the same time there are plans at a national level with Germany's Merkel repeating today that the government is planning a "bold, targeted" stimulus package, which will include KfW loans to boost credit.
