ECB's Noyer calls for G8 meeting on financial turmoil. Noyer said such a meeting would be a good idea, as governments "need to show they are acting together" to calm fears over the global financial system. At the same time Noyer stressed that French bank remain "solid" and that none of them are close to bankruptcy. Noyer also stressed that the French government won't let any of its banks fail.
