The BoE will issue GBP 20B in 3-day repo at 8.45GMT today. Yesterday, the central bank issued 5B in 3-day repo to ease tension in the money market, but demand was far stronger than supply and the issuance saw a bid-to-cover ratio of 4.82 times. The BoE was originally set to issue GBP 6.35B in regular money market operations today, but the bank clearly feels that further liquidity needs to be provided.
