    Problems installing/running Micro Trading Station

    Can anyone help/advise
I have been trying to download/install the Micro trading Station software,
but every time I try to run it, I get the following error message :-

    "ERROR"
"An error occurred while starting the application.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The error occurred while loading the component API Component
Please uninstall the application and reinstall the last version."

It asks me to uninstall and reinstall the last version - but that is not possible
since there is no previous version!
I have in fact uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times but with always the same (non) result

The software seems to download and install OK, but when I click the desktop icon
    I get this message:-

Fx Trading Station + + Application

Fx Trading Station + + Application has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience
If you were in the middle of something the informatiom you were working on might be lost.

As an experiment I have downloaded - and installed - a demo FXCM trade desk from Australia - all works fine! I have also downloaded and installed two other MT4 Trading desks from
other Forex traders with no difficulties.

FXCM boasts 24/7 customer support, but all my email requests in the past 48 hrs have gone
    unanswered.

    My account ID# :XXXXXXXXXX

I have made my initial funding, but obviously I cannot use my account without
    a "live" Trading Desk!

PS: Using MS Windows XP SP3 / Firefox 4

    Hi TeeCee,

Welcome to the Micro Forum! Thanks for your post! (Please note I edited your account information. This is a public forum and you do not want to give out private information.)

How do I fix this error message "An error occurred while starting the application. We are sorry for the inconvenience" ?

This sounds like a bad install of the platform. Usually a quick uninstall reinstall will do the trick, but since you have already done this, the errors might lie in the Registry of your computer. You will need to perform a Regedit. Information on how to do this can be found by clicking here.

How come it has been 48 hours without a response if you have 24/7 service?

FXCM Micro is a discount brokerage of FXCM that only has service via email which will not be as fast as FXCM's 24/7 phone and live chat support. FXCM Micro inquiries are solved on a first come first served basis and at times the wait-list could create longer wait times. Most inquiries are resolved within a day however.

Let me know if you continue to have difficulty logging into the platform. rob@fxcm.com

Hello! After the update, when trying to create an order the trading station fails. Uninstall and install several times according to the instructions on the site. As a result, reinstalled windows xp (with formatting the hard drive), and the error does not go away. What should I do? (screenshot attached.)

Hello Andrii, and thank you for your post!

The Trading Station II platform crashes when the "Create Market Order" option is selected from the charts when the Advanced and Simple Dealing Rates windows are closed. What can I do?

Thank you for reporting this error Andrii, this started happening after the recent update of the platform. This was a known issue that the productions team has now resolved. Please completely uninstall and reinstall the platform once more and you will no longer experience this issue.

How do I uninstall and reinstall the platform?

For a visual guide, please follow the simple steps below:

    1. From your computer desktop, click "Start" and select "Control Panel".

    2. From the "Control Panel" window, click on "Add or Remove Programs".

    3. Navigate to FXCM Trading Station and click "Change/Remove". A dialog box will appear to confirm that you would like to uninstall the Trading Station platform. Click "Yes". You can close the "Add or Remove Programs" window once complete.

    4. To download the FXCM Trading Station II platform, please click here.

    5. Continue through the installation process and finish the installation.

After the download is complete, the FXCM Trading Station icon will display on your desktop.

Congratulations! You can now log into your FXCM account from the new FXCM Trading Station II platform and place trades.

Please click here to find out what's new with the platform since the recent update.

Thank you again for your post Andrii! Please feel free to post with additional questions or contact me directly at julius@fxcm.com
