Coming from a background of coding C#, and then trying to decipher MQL, I found that initially it was a bit challenging, in that not all the functions perform in the same way betwen the two platforms. This is just a fact of life with most different systems. Once i spent a little time working with both systems though, it was fairly easy to code both.

For specific details with code examples please visit the Strategy Trader forums and look through some of the posted examples in the coding requests sections. We have several threads there where the original poster provided us with mql code and we built a ST strategy for them.

A direct link to the coding request forum is shown below.

I think the Online Stocks and Forex simulator is really effective as a way of easy and risk-free training. Fxdialogue offers one, you can just get it from them any time. What about that demo account? Has anyone here tried it also? It is also a good way to familiarize with the trading platforms and test your knowledge in the marketing field. The one I had got from fxdialogue.com had extensive chart capabilities and powerful tools for account management, a bonus of MT4 with no minimum opening balance.

    What happened to strategy trader

Hi FXCM team, I am just wondering about this platform, why it doesnt look available to download anymore from the website, instead I see that it is a new platform called ninjatrader? will this platform still work or should we better switch?
