    US$

At long last, sorted my US$ feed. I think your Pitchfork perimeter will hold Franosh! Just a little relief needed on US$ moms and I think a strong one coming.

I just done a quick action/reaction EW count of last leg up and now this and I reckon it could be 'c' of 'B' just finished and now down in 'a' of 'C'. This would fit with our mutual nod that this whole leg down in EURUSD was in fact a larger degree 'B' wave. Just for fun, as I don't trade the counts themselves.

P.S. I know this can be counted bullishly, with the 'A' down actually being the 'B' and this being part of a 5 up, but I am going with the bearish count until those moms die a death.

Its true - price can spike after 10:00 am EST but most of the time a high/low will be created around 10:00 - also even if we trade above a resistance then this will most of the time not lead to big short term gains - today is a good example of this - even tough we pushed above resistance we just traded 22 pips higher.

With this information its possible to take positions against the short term trend and already be in a good position for the start of the next European session.

Its also the time of the day as most range trading strategies work well and one should stop using breakout strategies.

Here is a volatility chart for GBP supporting my case.

DailyFX+ Speculative Sentiment Update for 3/28/2013

EURUSD - The ratio of long to short positions in the EURUSD stands at 1.30 as 56% of traders are long. Yesterday the ratio was 1.63; 62% of open positions were long. Long positions are 11.0% lower than yesterday and 7.6% above levels seen last week. Short positions are 12.2% higher than yesterday and 9.9% below levels seen last week. Open interest is 2.2% lower than yesterday and 3.2% above its monthly average. We use our SSI as a contrarian indicator to price action, and the fact that the majority of traders are long gives signal that the EURUSD may continue lower. The trading crowd has grown less net-long from yesterday but further long since last week. The combination of current sentiment and recent changes gives a further mixed trading bias.

Currently, if positioning were at more extreme levels SSI would be more effective. Levels at are either greater than 2 or less than -2 provide the best signals
